Haka Boutique Hotel (Hotel), Da Nang (Vietnam) deals
This is an ever evolving list. This great sounding portable amp at a great price is becoming a very consistent recommendation for all sorts of headphone listeners. Open and spacious with smooth mids and a very musical overall sound. It also comes with a bass boost feature that bumps up the bass significantly. I certainly liked it with a whole range of head- and earphones and this amp is great value for money. Actually when I received the xDSD last year, I thought that device would make it as a standalone portable amplifier because of its form factor and lightness. A couple of months later iFi announced the xCAN as their new portable amp. This small sized analog amplifier has an excellent build quality but most of all it sounds extremely good. The Picollo is an incredibly good and musical amp, especially for IEMs. The Piccolo has extremely low floor noise, features a dead quiet volume pot with a wide range and a completely black background.

As said before, it can do both balanced and unbalanced. The overall feel of the amp is neutral, maybe ever so slightly v shaped. It is easiest to start with the treble.
Jomo Audio Haka Review
Here comes the new balanced amp from Ibasso! While the PB-2 can never replace the impact and authority of a big desktop amp, the PB-2 can definitely take on a lot of entry level single ended desktop amps. For instance, listening to the HD in balanced, the PB-2 was able to grab a good control of the drivers, injecting a good dose of pace and making the HD feels lighter and more nimble than it normally is. However, I do think that while very impressive in short listening sessions, the balanced drive only increases the phase inaccuracy already inherent in the multi-driver IEM design. The layout is very clean and symmetrical, as Ibasso had placed the messy part on the bottom side of the PCB.
